Gameweek 4 is now complete, with all six published Fish & Tips football bets settled.
Using a consistent £10 example stake per published bet, the week returned £45.00 from £60.00 staked, leaving an overall example loss of £15.00.
Gameweek 4 P/L

- Total published bets: 6
- Wins: 1
- Losses: 5
- Example stake: £10 per bet
- Total staked: £60.00
- Total returned: £45.00
- Overall example P/L: -£15.00
- 1 point = £10
- Gameweek 4 P/L: -1.50 pts
Gameweek 4 produced one full winner, with a couple of the losing builders coming much closer than the final weekly P/L suggests.
Sunderland v Arsenal — WINNER

Bet Builder: 7/2
Example stake: £10
Example return: £45.00
Example profit: +£35.00
This was the standout result of the week, with all four selections landing.
- Kai Havertz — 1+ shot on target ✅
- Kai Havertz — 1+ foul won ✅
- Daniel Ballard — 1+ foul committed ✅
- Gabriel Magalhães — 1+ shot ✅
The bet was built around Arsenal pressure, Havertz’s central involvement and Gabriel’s set-piece threat, and all three angles played out exactly as hoped.
Result: 4/4 active legs landed — WINNER.
Leeds United v Newcastle United — One Active Leg Short

Published Bet Builder: 25/4
Example stake: £10
Example return: £0
This was probably the most frustrating near-miss of the week.
- Joe Willock — void
- Sean Longstaff (Sub On Play) — 1+ foul won ✅
- Jayden Bogle — 1+ foul committed ✅
- Harvey Barnes — 1+ foul won ✅
- Harvey Barnes — 1+ shot ✅
The only active miss was Tarik Muharemović 1+ shot. The frustration here is that the action we needed effectively did happen — he tried to score in a very similar way to the goal he scored at Chelsea in the cup — but because the ball was played across goal, Opta did not record it as a shot and instead treated it more like a pass. That meant the leg didn’t count, which was a tough way for the builder to lose.
Result: 4/5 active legs landed, 1 void.
Tottenham v Everton — One Leg Short

Bet Builder: 5/1
Example stake: £10
Example return: £0
Three of the four selections landed here.
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall — 1+ shot on target ✅
- Jan Paul van Hecke — 1+ foul committed ✅
- Thierno Barry — 1+ foul won ✅
The only leg that missed was Everton to score 1+ goal. That made this one especially frustrating, because Everton did have a clear-cut chance to score, so there was definitely an element of bad luck in the bet not landing.
Result: 3/4 legs landed.
Premier League Gameweek 4 Acca

Published odds: 5.17/1
Example stake: £10
Example return: £0
The acca landed three of the five selections:
- Harvey Barnes — 1+ shot ✅
- Kai Havertz — 1+ shot on target ✅
- Harry Maguire — 1+ foul committed ✅
- Everton — 1+ goal ❌
- Kevin Macedo (after substitution from the original Castagne leg) ❌
The same Everton goal line that cost us in the Tottenham builder also knocked out the acca, while the substituted foul leg failed to get us over the line.
Result: 3/5 legs landed.
Liverpool v Fulham

Bet Builder: 21/10
Example stake: £10
Example return: £0
This one was heavily affected by voids.
- César Palacios — void
- Cody Gakpo — void
- Dominik Szoboszlai — 1+ shot on target ✅
- Kevin Macedo (substituted selection) — missed ❌
With two legs voided, the builder was reduced significantly, but the remaining active selections still didn’t combine to get the bet home.
Result: 1 active leg landed, 1 active leg lost, 2 void.
Manchester United v Manchester City

Bet Builder: 5/1
Example stake: £10
Example return: £0
This was the weakest-performing builder of the week.
- Harry Maguire — 1+ foul committed ✅
- Phil Foden — 1+ foul committed ❌
- Bryan Mbeumo — 1+ foul committed ❌
- Marc Guéhi — 1+ foul won ❌
Only the Maguire angle landed, while the rest of the foul-based selections fell short.
Result: 1/4 legs landed.
Gameweek 4 Review
The final weekly figure shows an example P/L of -£15.00, but there was still a fair amount of promise within the selections.
The Sunderland v Arsenal builder landed in full, while both Leeds v Newcastle and Tottenham v Everton came very close to returning. Leeds was especially frustrating given the Muharemović effort that was not recorded as a shot, while Tottenham was undone despite Everton having a clear opportunity to score.
That said, the settled results are the settled results, and at Fish & Tips the aim is to show both the winners and the losers transparently. The winning builder stays on the record, but so do the near-misses and the lessons that come with them.
Example stakes only. The £10 figures above are used purely to show each published selection on a consistent basis. They do not represent personal betting activity or recommended staking.
