Premier League Gameweek 3 Results & P/L Review | Fish & Tips

Gameweek 3 is complete, and there was plenty to take away from the five Premier League fixtures we selected.

A few of the individual bet builders came frustratingly close without getting over the line, but the weekend was rescued in style by The Foul Five, with all five selections landing for a £51.08 return from a £10 stake.

Overall, the six published bets produced £82.08 in returns from £60 staked, leaving Fish & Tips with a +£22.08 profit for Gameweek 3.

Gameweek 3 P/L

The individual builders were a mixed bag, with several falling just one or two events short, but getting The Foul Five over the line made the difference and ensured Gameweek 3 finished comfortably in profit.

There are still lessons to take from the legs that missed, particularly where some of the less reliable foul markets were included, but the low-line approach continued to produce plenty of winners across the weekend.

With 1 point = £10, that leaves us at:

Gameweek 3 P/L: +2.21 pts

Total bets: 6
Total staked: £60.00
Total returned: £82.08
Overall profit: +£22.08

Ipswich 0–2 Liverpool

Bet Builder: 29/10
Stake: £10
Return: £0

This one was painfully close, with four of the five legs landing.

Alexander Isak comfortably cleared his line with 2 shots on target, Daizen Maeda committed his required foul, Florian Wirtz registered a shot on target and Sasa Lukic also committed a foul.

The only miss came from the 1+ fouls won selection, which moved from Alexis Mac Allister to Trey Nyoni under Sub On Play and finished without the required foul won.

Result: 4/5 legs landed.

Newcastle 2–2 Bournemouth

Bet Builder: 39/10
Stake: £10
Return: £0

Another builder where several of the ideas worked.

Bournemouth scored as required, the substituted foul selection landed, the foul-won selection transferred to Jacob Murphy and landed, and Justin Kluivert finished with 2 shots.

The damage came from Malick Thiaw 1+ fouls won and Evanilson 1+ fouls committed, with neither recording the event required.

Result: 4/6 legs landed.

Brighton 1–1 Leeds

Bet Builder: 16/5
Stake: £10
Return: £0

Three of the four foul selections landed here.

Jayden Bogle committed 1 foul, Anton Stach drew 1 foul, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin comfortably cleared his line with 3 fouls committed.

Yasin Ayari was the only miss, finishing the game without committing a foul.

Result: 3/4 legs landed.

Everton 2–2 Manchester United

Bet Builder: 3/1
Stake: £10
Return: £0

This was the weakest-performing individual builder of the weekend.

Manchester United scored as required and Matheus Cunha drew his foul, but the substituted shots-on-target selection failed and James Tarkowski finished without recording a foul won.

Result: 2/4 legs landed.

Arsenal 2–1 Chelsea

Original Bet Builder: 33/10
Settled odds: 21/10
Stake: £10
Return: £31.00
Profit: +£21.00

A strong finish to the individual fixture picks.

Bukayo Saka recorded 3 shots on target, Gabriel Magalhães had 2 shots, João Pedro committed 2 fouls, and Myles Lewis-Skelly drew the required foul.

Levi Colwill’s selection was void, reducing the final settled price to 21/10, but every remaining active leg landed.

Result: WINNER.

The Foul Five

Stake: £10

Return: £51.08

Profit: +£41.08

The standout result of Gameweek 3.

Our first Foul Five featured one player to commit 1+ foul from each of the five selected fixtures — and all five landed.

Five games. Five foul selections. Five winners.

A £10 stake returned £51.08, giving us +£41.08 profit from the acca alone.

  • Daizen Maeda — 1 foul
  • Newcastle/Bournemouth Sub On Play selection — landed
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin — 3 fouls
  • João Pedro — 2 fouls
  • Harry Maguire — 2 fouls
