St Leger Festival P/L After Three Days
The opening two days of the 2026 Doncaster St Leger Festival have produced 7 winners from 15 official Fish & Tips selections, with 10 of the 15 finishing in the first three. Using an illustrative £10 each-way stake on each official selection, a total of £300 has been staked and £438.50 returned, leaving the running festival total at +£138.50 profit.
Thursday 10 September Results
Thursday delivered an outstanding opening day at Doncaster, with 5 winners from 8 selections and seven horses finishing in the first three. Speed Of Sound, Night In Vegas, Bourbon Blues, Waardah and Devil’s Peak all won, with Bourbon Blues the standout at an advised 11/2 before returning at a 7/1 starting price under Best Odds Guaranteed. The opening day finished with £320 returned from £160 staked, producing +£160 P/L.
Friday 11 September Results
Friday proved more difficult but still produced two winners. Queenstown was withdrawn from the Doncaster Cup, meaning our published Main Danger Caballo De Mar became the effective selection and went on to win. Silver Lake also won at 2/1, while Nabati and Henley on Thames returned some each-way money in third and fourth respectively. The official Friday selections finished at −£21.50 from £140 staked, leaving the festival comfortably profitable after two days.
50/1 Value Angle: Fast Track
One of Friday’s most notable calls came away from the official main-selection P/L. Fast Track was highlighted as our 50/1 value angle in the Flying Childers before being strongly supported in the market and finishing fourth. Some bookmakers were offering four each-way places, meaning an illustrative £10 each-way bet at 50/1 with 1/5 place terms would have returned £110 — a £90 profit. Because place terms differed between bookmakers, this result is shown separately and is not included in the official Fish & Tips P/L.
Saturday 12 September Results
Saturday delivered another excellent day at Doncaster, with four winners from six official selections. The standout was Air Force One, advised at 11/1, alongside winners Desert Castle, More Thunder and Thunder Run. With £120 staked and £283.40 returned, the day finished +£163.40 profit, taking our official St Leger Festival running P/L to an impressive +£301.90.
How We Calculate Fish & Tips P/L
For transparency, the St Leger Festival P/L uses an illustrative £10 each-way stake (£20 total) on each official selection. Returns use the published advised price, with Best Odds Guaranteed applied where appropriate. Non-runners do not count as a stake, and where a published Main Pick becomes a non-runner, the pre-published Main Danger becomes the effective selection. Separate value angles are highlighted but are not added to the official P/L unless they were published as an official selection.
