We’ve gone with one player to commit 1+ foul in each of our five selected fixtures. The idea is simple: low individual lines, players we expect to be involved in plenty of physical contests, and five separate games to build the Gameweek 3 acca.
Daizen Maeda – 1+ foul vs Liverpool
Maeda’s high-energy style should see him involved in plenty of pressing and recovery work against Liverpool. With Ipswich likely to spend spells without the ball, he should have opportunities to challenge from the front and stop Liverpool building attacks. At just one foul, the line looks very reachable.
Joe Willock – 1+ foul vs Bournemouth
Willock should see plenty of action in the central areas, where Bournemouth can be difficult to play against. His role naturally puts him into challenges and recovery situations, making a single foul an appealing low threshold.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 1+ foul vs Brighton
Strikers can often be overlooked in the foul markets, but Calvert-Lewin’s physical style means he’s regularly competing with centre-backs for possession and aerial balls. We only need one of those contests to go against him.
João Pedro – 1+ foul vs Arsenal
A demanding fixture against Arsenal should require plenty of work from João Pedro both in possession and when Chelsea are trying to regain the ball. At just one foul, we like the chances of him getting involved in at least one mistimed challenge.
Harry Maguire – 1+ foul vs Everton
Everton can give centre-backs a physical test, particularly around direct balls and attacking duels. Maguire should be involved in those battles throughout the game, giving us a clear route to the single foul required.
Five games. Five players. One foul each.
That’s the Fish & Tips Gameweek 3 Acca — £10 stake with a potential return of £51.07 at the price shown when the selections were placed.
