Why these selections?
Marc Guéhi – 1+ Shot
Guéhi was a genuine set-piece threat in City’s previous match and regularly attacks dead-ball situations. Against a Palace side likely to concede territory, another opportunity from a corner or free-kick looks plausible.
Marc Guéhi – 1+ Foul Won
Guéhi averages more than one foul won per 90, so this is built around his usual involvement rather than needing an unusual match event.
Daichi Kamada – 1+ Foul Committed
Kamada averages over one foul committed per 90. With City expected to dominate possession and move players through midfield, he should have opportunities to engage defensively.
Jean-Philippe Mateta – 1+ Foul Committed
Mateta also averages more than one foul committed per 90 and is likely to have plenty of physical battles against City’s defenders. If he is replaced, Jørgen Strand Larsen is another high-foul player, which provides additional interest where the bookmaker’s substitution/play-on rule applies.
Manchester City – over 0+ Goals
Palace conceded plenty of shots against Everton in their previous league fixture, while City have repeatedly found the net away at Palace in recent seasons. The combination of City’s attacking volume and the recent head-to-head record makes one City goal the team angle we’re most comfortable with.
